Celebrations – Knowing What’s Meaningful

Wednesday November 16, 2022 | 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Virtual Event Virtual Event
$55.00

This training session will look at celebrations in the Early Childhood context.

We will unpack what it means to be meaningful and authentic, how our community, families, children and educators influence our decisions about “what” and “how” to celebrate.

We will make connections with ACECQA’s ‘Exceeding’ themes and take a more reflective approach to celebrations with a focus on new learning and understandings, moving away from a ‘filling the calendar’ and/or ‘celebration craft’ approach.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Explore how we can celebrate and discuss celebrations in a meaningful way with all families and children.
  • Engaging in celebrations that are relevant to the lives of children and families
  • Ensuring respect, diversity and acceptance with children and families.

Training Presenter: Kirsty Fantini, Early Years Training
