Learn about the development of emotional regulation in the early years
Emotions can be messy, loud and at times uncomfortable, but even a newborn baby experiences them. What the research tells us is that developing the capacity to manage emotions is a process.
This process starts right from birth, like when caregivers pick up a crying baby with the result that the baby feels soothed and experiences a sense of well-being and safety.
In this workshop we will be looking at ways this process may evolve and what it might look like in the early childhood setting.
Learning Outcomes:
- Exploring the process of developing the capacity to manage emotions in the early years
- Exploring the ways this process may evolve and what it might look like in the early childhood setting
