PUAWER005B – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation

This unit covers the competency required to implement the emergency response specified in the workplace emergency procedures. This unit has been developed to cover the broad range of emergencies in workplaces as considered in Australian Standard 3745-2010.

Target Audience: Existing workers in any industry may benefit from this training as it is not industry specific. Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this unit.

Award issued: Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for PUAWER005B Operate as part of an emergency control organisation.

Course duration: 3.5 hours face-to-face training. Participants must attend the whole duration of the course.

Requirements: You will need to provide identification on the day of the course.

You will be required to obtain a USI (Unique Student Identifier) to complete this qualification. (Details on how to obtain a USI can be found at Please note: you do not need to obtain a new USI if you have one already.)
